SignVideo provides deaf or hard of hearing pet owners who use British Sign Language (BSL) instant access to a SignVideo online BSL interpreter.

This service is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

How does it work on a Computer?

To contact the SignVideo Interpretation Service through a computer, you’ll need video capability and broadband access. Then follow these steps:

Click SignVideo link below to make a call from your browser
Connect to a SignVideo interpreter and they will confirm you are contacting our crematorium
You will then be connected to a registered BSL interpreter and can start the conversation in BSL (British Sign Language), which will be relayed to our Crematorium Aftercare Advisor
Make sure that your webcam and speakers are turned on

How does it work on a mobile phone?

To contact the SignVideo using your mobile phone, you will need access to Wifi or mobile data. SignVideo is free to use with an internet connect, and normal data charges will apply if you use 3G or 4G mobile data.

Click SignVideo link below, or on the icon on our website homepage to make a call, you can also download the SignVideo app and search for our crematorium using the BSL database
Connect to a SignVideo interpreter and they will confirm you are contacting our crematorium
You will then be connected to a registered BSL interpreter and can start the conversation in BSL (British Sign Language), which will be relayed to our Crematorium Aftercare Advisor
Make sure that your mobile phone loudspeaker is switched on

Your system requirements

Before using SignVideo, please check you meet these basic requirements as a minimum:

You’ll need to have a computer or device with one of the following operating systems:
- iOS devices: 11 or above
- Android devices: 4.4 or above
- PC devices

Your computer or device will need to have one of the following browsers:
- PC: Chrome and Firefox
- macOS: Chrome (Safari 11 supported)
- a webcam

SignVideo offers this service to MacBooks and computer’s running Windows.

Visiting our crematorium

Our staff will welcome to you to our crematorium. Please indicate that you wish to use the SignVideo App.

If you do not have a device with you or access to mobile data, we will connect to a fully qualified SignVideo interpreter, so you can see them on one of our screen. They will help you communicate when you visit our crematorium.

When planning your visit in advance and wish to let us know about the additional arrangements you require, please email our crematorium.
